During the band days and since then, I graduated from BYU in German and French. Then I taught at BYU while I went to grad school in German Pedagogy and Linguistics. I started teaching German and English at Farrer Jr. High in '75, and moved to Timpview when it opened in 1977. I taught, coached golf and basketball for 22 years, and earned a MEd in '96. I was a school counselor at THS for about 10. I had 6 kids, got divorced, got back together with my high school "sweet-heart," and now have 13 grown kids and 21 grandchildren. The band days were a blast!

Flight- lead and back-up singer and guitar.

I have a very nice acoustic guitar, and an old singing-voice.

Bio and Band Stories:

Way too many to pick from, but...
One night at the Ice House, in Provo, while we were playing, Jim Williams switched polarity and was shocking me. In trying to get away, I fell off the side of the stage (several feet high), onto a table and then to the floor. We kept on playing while Jim, and the other guys, laughed his ass off. The pretty-dramatic fall mostly injured my pride!
One night, with Honey & Soul, we played out on the Ute reservation near Roosevelt. The Utes would put cases of ice-cold beer on the stage for everybody. During the break, they invited us in to an office to literally smoke a "peace-pipe" with the local community-leaders. I only took a couple of hits to be congenial guests, of course. After that, the last set of the night was a totally distorted blur, and I had to "innovate" the lyrics to songs because I couldn't think straight. That cured me of "inhaling" questionable substances!
