September 20 1951 - August 5 2019

Randy Frank Morgan passed away peacefully at home in Kula, Hawaii on Monday, August 5th 2019 at the age of 67. Randy was born on September 20th 1951 to Frank “Pete” Morgan and Yvonne “Bonnie” Morgan. Randy was raised in Springville, Utah, where he graduated from Springville High School in 1969.

He will always be remembered for being a musician and beautiful guitar player.  Randy was a member of bands such as The Saints, Timepiece, Just In, Sing Sing Laugh Laugh and Little Gryphon.  Most people from that era in the late 60’s and early 70’s from Springville will remember the Friday and Saturday night dances held at the Memorial Dance Hall in Springville, where the Morgan’s of 4M Productions kept his bands booked regularly.

Randy was not only a musician; he also went on to become a skilled journeyman plumber and mechanical estimator. He moved from Utah to Maui Hawaii in 2000, to work for the Dorvin D. Leis Construction Company as a Project Manager/Estimator, where he worked until his final day.
Randy is survived by his three children Troy J. Morgan (Kandice), Justin L. Morgan and Mariah M. Morgan (Dylan) and his grandchildren Matthew, Erica and Whitney.

Randy never met a stranger. He had a huge heart; a good soul and he never went a day without making new friends. His passion was music and he loved sharing his guitar playing with anyone who would sit and jam with him.

Randy loved his children dearly and when he became a grandfather, he loved his grandchildren just as much.  He always found ways to spoil and treat them. He will surely be missed by all who loved him and especially his grandchildren who called him “Grandpa Hawaii”.

We will always remember Randy’s great sense of humor, his way he would brighten up the world with his jokes and his music.  He had an infectious laughter and a loving manner. There was a private ceremony on the island of Maui with his children and ohana.

Mahalo, until we meet again.
