I met "Rhine" in 5th grade at Wasatch Elementary School in NE Provo. We both went to BY High from 7th-12th grades. We played basketball and football together and sang and played guitar in a group called "The Coachmen." We had a lot of fun traveling and performing with our folk group in Utah and spent the summer after graduation of '66 performing at the Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone 6 evenings a week. During the day, we worked at the Old Faithful Lodge and Hamilton Stores. After returning from our missions, we performed with a rock group called "Peace & Quiet" at dances all over Utah and some surrounding states. Later in life, we took trips to visit Rhine in Seattle and enjoy all the things to see and do there. During that time, we would eat, sing, reminisce, and often laugh until it hurt!

I loved Rhine like a brother! We shared so many fun, memorable experiences over 6 decades. Rhine was a genuine, loyal friend, and I feel very fortunate to have known him!
