Bio and Band Stories:

Mark Tarallo and I formed TAXI in the fall of 1975. We were playing in Synthesis for the BYU jazz program and we decided to play rock and funk on weekends since we were starving students. We found Bobby Bird in the music dept at BYU. Bob Macias had played in the SLC bar scene and was looking for weekend gigs. Cheryl sang with us briefly. For some gigs we used the “Osmond” horns (Bryan Hofheinz, Craig Turley, and Tevis Laukat). In addition, Sam Foster filled in on drums when Bobby Bird had obligations as a BYU music major. I left Provo in 1977, but the band carried on for a few years.
